Say “Hello!” to Miss Nicole!

For South Anchorage High School senior Nicole McCormick, we highlighted two of her favorite pastimes in her senior photos: basketball and spending time outdoors. Her basketball was of course the perfect prop to personalize her session, so we carried it with us! The plywood and concrete backgrounds speak to her sporty passions as well. To capture her adventurous nature, we found an outcropping of lush berried trees, and she jumped right in! We are absolutely in love with how the rich green of the leaves complimented her gorgeous red hair, so pretty!

Not everyday has to be sunny in order to take beautiful photos! Just take a look at West High School senior Bailey Smith’s senior pictures! For Bailey’s senior session, we went down to Point Woronzof just off the Coastal Trail downtown. The lightly overcast day lent itself to a serene beach scene and provided just the right amount of mood lighting. I had a fun time photographing Bailey against the buildings of historic downtown Anchorage, but she truly shined in her flowing white dress as she walked along the shoreline, violin in tow.

Take a look at this beauty! We had a lovely time with South Anchorage High School senior Erica Stewart! Among Erica’s well rounded list of interests is a love for the outdoors, including fishing, hiking, and camping, so it was obvious that we had to get ourselves into the Alaskan wilderness for her senior session! Erica’s choice to dress in simple, flowy whites made for an excellent contrast between herself and the vivid natural backgrounds, which allowed her to really pop in her photos without looking out of place.

 

Grace Foster | CHS CO 16 |

Grace Foster is a senior at Chugiak High School this year. She loves school and her favorite subject is English. She enjoys being outside and loves going on road trips. She enjoys hanging out at coffee shop.

Grace is very sweet and very optimistic. She enjoys being outside with her friends and shopping with her mom. She is also an introvert. She loves books and reading. She also likes getting dressed up and going out for dinner. She is very fun loving and a go-getter.

 

Alexis Gibson| DHS CO 16 |

Alexis Gibson is a senior at Dimond High School where she participates in cheer. She has been doing cheer for many years and it’s one of her great passions. Alexis loves playing soccer, camping at Eklutna, four wheeling and fishing in Kenai. She is a girly girl with a bit of a tomboy side.

Alexis is a kind hearted, funny, easy-going girl. She isn’t afraid to be silly and goofy. She is always up for a fun adventure. She is hard working and puts every effort into anything she does. She can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

Taylor loves being outdoors, so we were grateful for the beautiful weather we were granted on the day of her session. She picked some great outfits to express her varied interests and complex personality, so we took her downtown and through to the woods to encapsulate as many facets of her look as possible! We just love the photos from the woods – isn’t that tiny lace tee-pee absolutely adorable?

No matter where we went or what she wore, one thing remained the same – Taylor’s shining personality and infectious smile!

South Anchorage High School Senior Pictures and Portraits in Alaska

Katie Hines is a senior at South Anchorage High School this year. Katie loves art and is a really talented sketch artist. She enjoys drawing people, portraits, and even horses. She also likes to work with wool and make little clothes out of them. This is also what makes her brilliant. She is able to view the world in such a unique way. She is an extraordinary student and has only gotten one B in her whole academic life.

She definitely wants to continue on to college and study medicine. Cancer runs in her family and this really inspired her to focus on medicine. She is athletic and even gotten some track scholarships. She is very put together and cares for others before herself. This makes her mother very proud.

2016 West Anchorage High School Senior Pictures

Tess Burnett is a senior at West High School this year. She is very excited to finish high school and move on to college. She hopes to go somewhere on the West Coast where the sun is always high.

She is a silly girl who loves to make others laugh. She is very tenacious and if she has a goal, she will achieve it. She is so thoughtful and always thinks of others before herself. When Tess smiles, you can’t help but smile yourself. She hasn’t had it so easy, but she always comes out so strong.

Class of 2016 Dimond High School Senior Photos in Alaska

Willow Grofkreutz is a senior at Dimond High School this year. Willow is very musically inclined and plays the stand up bass. She actually is part of the Anchorage Youth Symphony. She loves to write and watch movies. Her favorite movie is Lost in Translation.

She loves to travel especially to Seattle. She loves to drive and go on road trips. She also works at a restaurant and loves it. She can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her.

Hannah Sanders is a senior at West High School this year. She is musically inclined. She even taught herself how to play the ukulele when she was on a trip to Hawaii. She is very book smart and enjoys literature. She loves sports especially volleyball and soccer. She also loves being out and enjoying nature whether that be through camping or hiking.

She is very confident and can’t be fooled easily. She has a strong mind and likes to solve her own mysteries. She ‘s not always behind everything you’re selling. This is what her mother loves about her.
